North Hartland, VT – Randy Scott Hook, Sr., 47, died from a medical condition Thursday, December 10, 2020 at his home.

Randy was born June 1, 1973, in Randolph, VT a son of Ronnie Hook & Judy (Stone) Dyer. He attended the Hartland School, Hartford High School and later Job Corps.  Randy worked for fourteen years at Osgood Welding in Claremont and operated Randy's Auto body.

Randy's passion was restoring hot rods.  He was a jokester you never knew what would come out of his mouth.  If you got one up on him, be ready you had one coming back and better.  His smile could light up a room and his laughter was infectious. If you needed an extra hand you could count on him, he would give the shirt right off his back if he thought you needed it.  He would help anybody, friend or stranger.  He was either whistling or singing a tune, never a dull moment. He was a jack of all trades, nothing he wouldn't try.  His greatest joy came from playing with his "Rodents" (grandchildren)

He is survived by a son Randy Hook, Jr and his wife India of South Royalton, VT; a daughter Jessica Hook and her husband, Brian Mace of Hartland; his former wife Wendy Wheeler of South Royalton, VT; grandchildren Layla, Alayna and Braxton; mother Judy Dyer and her husband Dale of North Hartland, VT; father Ronnie Hook and his wife Ann of North Hartland, VT; a sister Tina Avery and her husband Keith of North Hartland, VT three step sisters Kim Dyer, of Strafford, VT, Darci Melvin-Rood, of Claremont, NH, and Lisa Martin, of Sharon, VT; step brother Barry Lashway, Jr of Richmond, VA and had a loving girlfriend Jennifer Dearborn.  Many aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, December 18 at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. To abide by capacity limits guests should wait in their vehicles and funeral home staff will escort you in as space allows, in the order that you arrive.

The burial will be held in the spring of 2021 at Hillside Cemetery, Norwich, VT
