Barnard, VT – Randall Jasper Harrington, 52, died in a tragic farming accident at his farm in Barnard on Sunday, January 7, 2024.
He was born in Randolph, VT on June 25, 1971, a son of Duane and Ruth Harrington. Randall grew up and attended school in Pomfret and graduated from Woodstock High School Class of 1989. After school, he began farming with his father and later farmed on his own before beginning a career in excavating. He travelled around the world for many years with his job, building destination golf courses in exotic locations before meeting the love of his life, Natalia Maria Vindas Bogantes, in Costa Rica. They were married January 7, 2006, in Costa Rica, where he owned several businesses and together began their family. He returned to the area in 2014 to realize his dream of operating a family farm in Vermont. Randall loved spending time working on their farm with his wife, daughters and 600 goats.
In his free time, he enjoyed going on vacations or just relaxing with his family. He was also an avid Boston Celtics and New York Yankees fan.
He is survived by his wife, Natalia of Barnard; daughters, Jordan Harrington of Manchester, NH, Kianny, Bianca, Fiorella and Jimena Harrington of Barnard; mother, Ruth Harrington of North Pomfret, VT; brothers, Brian (Jodi) Harrington of Sharon, VT, Jeff (Ann Marie) of Sommerville, MA; sister, Rhonda (Chris) Jordan of North Pomfret, VT and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Duane, in December 2023.
A visitation for friends and family will be held on Monday, January 15th from 11AM to 1PM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. A private service for immediate family members will follow.
