PERKINSVILLE, VT
Ralph E. Strong, 72, a longtime resident of Cavendish, passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 8 at his daughter's home in Perkinsville.
He was born August 21, 1944 in Cavendish the son of Lincoln and Ruth (Sherman) Strong. He received his schooling in Cavendish. He was employed at Mack Molding in Cavendish for several years and most recently was employed by the Cavendish Highway Department for over thirty years until his retirement in 2010.
Ralph was fond of the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed NASCAR and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, and two brothers, Clyde Strong and Gerald Strong and one sister, Irene Wood.
Survivors include one son, Christopher Strong and his wife, Cynthia of Chester, VT, two daughters, Errin Lawson and her husband, John of North Springfield, VT and Kimberly Scott and her husband, Rich of Perkinsville, one brother Donald Strong and two sisters, Julia Cole and Rachel Campbell, seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor. Committal services will be held at a later date at the convenience of his family in the Cavendish Village Cemetery in Cavendish.
