Hartford, VT – Ralph Edwin McCoy, 79, died Sunday evening October 11 ^th , 2020 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

He was born April 28 ^th , 1941 in Midkiff, WV the youngest of seven children of Elisha and Velva McCoy.  Ralph grew up on a farm on Aaron's Creek and Nine Mile Road in Branchland, WV. He attended Guyan Valley High School in West Hamlin, WV and went on to join the Air Force.

He met his wife, Violet in Ypsilanti, MI. Moving there after graduating high school at 16 years of age. Ralph and Violet were married on May, 15 ^th 1960. Ralph joined the Air Force in 1963 and is a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Ralph enjoyed many things including golf, cooking, gardening, wood-working, reading, traveling and spending time with his family. Ralph was a member of Lake Morey Country Club and was an excellent golfer.

Ralph owned the Shoetorium in Lebanon, NH from 1969 to 2008, when he decided to retire. Ralph excelled with the Shoetorium and loved helping his customers. He was a certified pedorthist and often assisted in helping those with foot problems.

He was predeceased by three of his four brothers, Herschel, Cecil and Ernest McCoy and his two loving and doting sisters, Dovetta "Tootsie" Browning and Loretta Jean Lovejoy.

He leaves his wife, Violet and two sons, Chris and Aaron Brett McCoy of White River Junction, VT, his three grandchildren, Cooper, Caitlin and Briella, his brother Edward and nephew William "Mike" McCoy of Wilder, VT and many other loving nieces and nephews from West Virginia, Michigan and Florida.

A visitation will be held at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction on Saturday, October 17 ^th from 3:00PM to 5:00PM, with a service starting at 5PM.
