Wilder, VT – Raffaele Marcello Terino, 88, died Tuesday June 4, 2019 at Hanover Terrace Healthcare in Hanover, NH.

He was born December 24, 1930 at home in White River Jct., VT a son of Clement and Amelia (Guarino) Terino.  Ralph graduated from Hartford High School before serving as a paratrooper in the US Army.  After his military service he attended the University of Vermont and then earned his law degree from Boston University.  He returned to White River Jct. and began practicing at Black and Plante.  Ralph married Phyllis Doubleday June 30, 1962 and they settled in Wilder where they raised their family and spent the rest of their married lives.  Later Ralph joined his uncle and cousin at Guarino and Terino, practicing law until retiring in his 80's.

Taffy, as he was known by his friends, was a talented athlete who enjoyed playing softball well into his 60's.  He also enjoyed bowling as a member of several leagues.   Most of all he will be remembered as a kind person who was willing to help anyone who needed it.  A fellow attorney once commented "Ralph practiced law for nearly fifty years and never made an enemy."

He was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis, in 2009, a daughter, Jessica in 2013 and a brother, Armand.

He is survived by his daughter Melissa Terino of Wilder, VT; son Anthony Terino and his wife Angela of Hartland, VT; grandchildren Marcello, Dante, Mateo, Isabella, Darcy, Dominic and Slater; a great grandchild Lorraine; brother Jerry Terino of Enfield Center, NH; sister Marie Robinson and her husband Earl of Indiana as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. Monday June 10 ^th from 1-3PM and 5-7PM.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11AM on Tuesday June 11 ^th followed by burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery also in White River Jct., VT.
