Raedeane O. Parker, 81, a longtime resident of Reading passed away Monday, April 4, at the Springfield Health and Rehabilitation Center in Springfield.
She was born November 11, 1929 in Brownsville, VT the daughter of Raymond and Alice (Stokoe) Oakes. She received her schooling in Brownsville. She married Howard M. Parker in Brownsville on April 6, 1946. They moved to Marlborough, CT in 1947 where she was employed at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in Middletown, CT. They returned to Reading, VT in 1985. Mrs. Parker enjoyed knitting, crocheting and crafts. Mr. Parker passed away on December 15, 1993.
She was also predeceased by one son, Marshall Parker on July 20, 2001.
Survivors include one son, Malcolm Parker of Reading, three granddaughters, Heather Parker, Cassandra Cox and Tiffany Parker, five great grandchildren, one brother, Maurice Oakes of Windsor, VT, two sisters, Vera Hoisington of Brownsville, VT and Mary Fenwick of Maine, several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held in the Sheddsville Cemetery in West Windsor on Friday, May 13 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Dave Jones, Pastor of the Trinity Evangelical Church in Windsor, officiating.
The Knight Funeral Home in Windsor is entrusted with the arrangements.
