South Royalton, VT – Rachel Marie Winters, 80, died Wednesday morning, July 17 at her home after a long illness. She was born the youngest of fourteen children, March 22, 1933 in Montpelier, VT the daughter of Paul C. and Christybella (Lawrence) Winters. She grew up and attended schools in Bethel, Barre and the Montpelier area. Rachel was a hard worker all her life. Raising her six children and holding down different jobs throughout her working career. Rachel worked for a time at Kleen Laundry in Lebanon, NH, but most of her life she worked as a self employed housekeeper. She also was a home healthcare provider.
Rachel will be remembered for always putting the needs of her children and family first. For her incredible strength and courage and for the strong ties she held with all her siblings.
Rachel was predeceased by an infant boy who died at birth.
She is survived by three daughters, Anita Bousquet of West Burke, VT, Rita Joyce of Alburg, VT, Tina Osmer of South Royalton, VT, three sons, Raymond Becker of South Royalton, VT, Gerald Becker of Claremont, NH, Anthony Winters of South Royalton, VT, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday, July 22, 2013 at 11AM in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lebanon, NH with Fr. Raymond Vaillancourt officiating.
