Phyllis Elliot Schnell, 95, died Friday, April 26, 2013 at her home.
She was born April 3, 1918 in Whitefield, NH, the Daughter of Ray and Louise (Aldrich) Elliott. She grew up in New England and Graduated from Hartford High School in White River Junction, VT, class of 1935. She moved to San Diego in 1950 as was married to Henry Ferdinand Schnell, Jr. She set up housekeeping as a wife and mother in Lyons Valley, Jamul, CA. In 1957 she took over the family business as president of Dairy Mart Farms, following the death of her husband. In 1977 she retired and sold the business. Most recently she resided in La Vidal Real in Rancho San Diego.
Phyllis was active in he local church and a member of the San Diego Cowbelles during her retirement.
She is survived by her son, Garold Henry Schnell from San Diego, CA, and her daughter Louise Schnell Richards from Plainfield, NH and five grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 3PM at the Christian Street Cemetery in Wilder, VT. Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction has been entrusted with arrangements.
