HARTLAND, VT
Phyllis J. Remick, 68, a longtime resident of Hartland, passed away Saturday morning, May 27 at her home in Hartland, surrounded by her family.
She was born June 2, 1948 in Windsor the daughter of Bernard and Beatrice (Temple) Bedell. She received her schooling in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School in 1966. She married Norman R. Remick in Lebanon, NH on December 31, 1966. She and her husband have resided in Hartland all their married lives. Phyllis was employed at the Woodstock Inn, the Tip Top Bakery in White River Jct., and later at the Quechee Mobil Station. She most recently was employed at Britton's Lumber Company in Hartland until her retirement.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Twin State Cruisers Antique Car Club. She was fond of country music and enjoyed listening to her husband sing. She also enjoyed writing poetry and attending car shows with her husband. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Eugene and Robert Bedell.
Survivors include her husband, Norman Remick of Hartland, three daughters, Tina LaFountain of Hartland, Tammie Stoddard of Carrollton, GA and Jennifer Thibodeau and her husband, Shawn of Hartland, one stepson, Raymond Remick and his wife, Deb of Hartland, one step daughter, Joann Trottier and her husband, Ed of Essex, VT, her grandchildren, Christina Remick, Amber, Jasmine, Kyra and Tucker Thibodeau, Stephen Remick, Ashley Cole-Henry, Kristin and Lauren Trottier, Jason and Derrick Lang and Kyle Blair, her great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Pyper, Andrew, Alexandra and Bentley, three brothers, David Bedell of Wilder, VT, Gordon Bedell of Rochester, VT and Donald Bedell of Wilder, VT, two sisters, Shirley Hart of Southfield, MA and Betty Eubanks of Lebanon, NH, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, May 31 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 1 at 2:00 PM in the Hartland Village Cemetery in Hartland. Pastor Gary Shapiro, will officiate. A reception for family and friends will follow at the VFW Hall in White River Jct.
