Philomena M. Chase

White River Jct., VT - Philomena M. Chase, 97, died Saturday June 4th surrounded by her family and longtime caregivers at Wheelock Terrace in Hanover, NH.

She was born December 30, 1913 a daughter of Michael and Luigia (Maffeo) Regione in Candida, Italy. She moved with her family to the United States, settling in White River Jct. and proudly became a U.S. Citizen. Phil attended Hartford High School before working at Smith Candy Factory, later at Lewis Brothers Laundry and then at Freddie's Dry Cleaning. She married Laurence F. Chase May 14, 1956 in White River Jct. The Chase's lived in White River Jct. until moving to Wheelock Terrace in November of 2006

Mrs. Chase was a member of St. Anthony's Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir for over forty years. She was also a member of Post 2571 Veteran's of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in White River Jct. She enjoyed sports, gardening, reading, television, entertainment and time with family.

She is predeceased by two sisters Concetta Regione and Christine Meade as well as five brothers Anthony, Alphonse, Dominic, Ralph and Carlo Regione.

She is survived by her husband Larry of 55 years, a step daughter Cheryl Chase of Cornish, NH and a son David Regione of San Francisco, CA; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. Tuesday June 7th from 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held Wednesday June 8th at 11AM at the funeral home with burial in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery followed by a reception.
