Windsor, VT- Philip E. Ladue, 82, died at his home in Windsor, VT, on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

Phil was born on December 31, 1943, in Morrisville, VT to Fred and Beatrice (Stanhope) Ladue. He grew up in Windsor as one of ten children and attended Windsor High School.

Phil was drafted and proudly served his country during the Vietnam war. On July 15, 1967, he married the love of his life, Bonnie Conley, in Windsor, VT. Philip worked for 40 years as a machinist at Green Mountain Metals before retiring in 2006.

A social man, Philip enjoyed a good party, especially his New Year's Eve birthday celebrations. He loved singing and dancing, particularly to old time rock and roll, and enjoyed spending time with friends over a few beers. He was a familiar face at the Windsor American Legion and Windsor Elks. Phil could often have been found bowling, throwing horseshoes, shooting pool, watching game shows or NCIS, or cheering on the Boston Red Sox. Above all, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of good friends, good times, music, laughter, and being surrounded by people he cared about.

Phil was predeceased by a son, Michael Ladue in 2022, as well as his siblings, Leo, Lawrence “Jimmy”, Donald, Nelson, Carleton, Beverly, and Alice.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, of Windsor; his children, James Ladue (Sarah) of Perkinsville, VT, and Michele Kepler (James) of Ascutney, VT; sisters, Marion Roberts and Linda Fleming; grandchildren, Jesse Boudro, Tyson Boudro (Calista), and Rochelle Ladue, as well as great grandchildren, Archer Philip Boudro, Ember Boudro, and Wyatt Ladue. Survivors also include his sister-in-law, Gerri Slayton (Tom), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended relatives and loved ones.
