BROWNSVILLE, VT
Peter Stoddard Sinclair, 61, a resident of Brownsville, passed away Thursday morning, April 29 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
He was born December 14, 1948 in Holyoke, Massachusetts the son of David Hugh and Gloria (Hanes) Sinclair. He received his schooling at Williston Academy in Easthampton, MA and graduated from Johnson State College in Johnson, VT in 1972 receiving his Bachelors Degree in English. Peter was employed with the family business, Sinclair International in Holyoke until his retirement in 1993, and continued on as a consultant until the time of his death.
He was a ski instructor for forty years at numerous ski resorts throughout New England. He was a lifetime member of Harley Owners Group (HOG) and a member of Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA). He had a passion for skiing, tennis and riding his Harley Davidson.
Survivors include, his mother, Gloria Sinclair of Stuart, FL and Deer Island, New Brunswick, Canada, one daughter, Kimberlee Sinclair of Minneapolis, MN, two sons, Benjamin Sinclair of Park City, UT and Ryan Sinclair of Cheverly, MD, two grandchildren, Lincoln Sinclair of Park City, UT and Emma Blue Sinclair of Cheverly, MD, his longtime companion, Elizabeth Seabury, one sister, Julie Kingsley of Stuart, FL and Deer Island, New Brunswick, and one brother, David Sinclair, Jr. of Queensbury, NY, two nieces and three nephews.
A memorial service will be held in late June in Brownsville with a notice to be published at a later date with the date, place and time.
The Knight Funeral Home in Windsor is entrusted with the arrangements.
