Obituary

Franklin, NH- Peter LaBreck, II, died unexpectedly on July 9, 2025, in Bath, NH. Born on March 29, 1988, in Hanover, NH, Peter was the son of Peter LaBreck, Sr. and Cindy Lou Baird.

Peter grew up in the Upper Valley, graduating in 2006 from Lebanon High School. He spent his working years primarily in local eateries, more specifically pizza joints. Peter worked for many years at Ziggy's in West Lebanon, but also at Gusanoz, Ramunto's, Denny's, and Molly's.

Peter's deep love for his friends and family was evident in his intensely protective nature. His ear-to-ear grin was unforgettable, with a laughter to match. He was a natural thrill seeker and sport lover. He played football in school and was almost always seen with a skateboard in the warm months. If he wasn't fishing in the summer, he was swimming and likely jumping from great heights into the water below. In the winter, you could find Peter snowboarding. He was a fan of the Boston Celtics and the Green Bay Packers. In his down time, Peter had a passion for video games. He looked up to his older brother and many of Peter's hobbies were inspired by him.

One of Peter's greatest motivations was his daughter, Maci, born in 2012. He loved her, and in his commitment to his recovery, strived to be the supportive father that he was always capable of being. She was his light and his reason to always keep trying.

Peter's young life was marred with bullying and a challenging upbringing. In his autobiography, that he never got the chance to finish, Peter felt that this was part of the cause for the destructive path that deterred him from the life that he knew he could have. Peter spent his last years of his life taking responsibility for his actions and repairing the damages. Peter was most recently a resident at the Renaissance House, a sober living facility, where he was said to be the pillar of the home. He was committed to helping others in recovery, mentoring them in his leadership role. Peter was proud to share that he was trying a faith-based path through his recovery. Peter was putting in the work to mend relationships with his family before his untimely passing; talking with his mom nearly daily. Respectfully extending olive branches to his little sister, Peter's bond with her, as his honorary big sister, was unbreakable.

Peter's death has come as a heartbreaking and unexpected shock to those who knew and loved him. He was doing so well, and his loss is profoundly felt.

Peter is survived by his parents, Peter LaBreck, Sr. and Cindy Lou Baird; his siblings, Andrew Baird of White River Junction, and Kesia LaBreck of Lebanon. Most of all, he leaves behind his beloved daughter, Maci LaBreck.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced. Other private ceremonies amongst friends and family are encouraged and welcomed. Peter had countless people who loved him and all should feel free to mourn his loss and say goodbye in their own way and time.

The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Knight Funeral Home to help with cremation costs. While they appreciate the outpouring of support, they respectfully ask for privacy as they grieve. For pressing matters, please contact Peter's sister, Kesia.
