Penny S. Abair

West Lebanon, NH - Penny S. Abair, 56, died Saturday January 14, 2017 at home in West Lebanon.

She was born August 23, 1960 in Lebanon, NH a daughter of Howard W. and June (Macomber) Sidler. Penny grew up in Hanover Center, NH and Wilder, VT and attended Hartford High School. She began working at Papa Gino's in West Lebanon, NH shortly after high school and continued to work there, in management, until they closed. Since then she has worked as assistant manager at the Comfort Inn in White River Jct., VT. Penny will be remembered as a hard worker and very dedicated. As a manager she was fair but tough and always treated the staff like family. Penny has lived in West Lebanon for the past thirty years.

She was an avid reader, loved her cat Zoie and enjoyed professional wrestling and collecting M&M memorabilia. Most of all Penny was a fantastic mother and grandmother who loved spending as much time with her son and grandson as she could. She had long wanted to see the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center in New York City and was fortunate enough to have traveled there with her good friend Maryann Heath this past Christmas season.

She is survived by her son Jeremy Heath of Hartland, VT; grandson Haydon Heath; brother Brian Sidler and his wife Kalleen of Springfield, VT; sister Robin Sidler of Newbury, VT and her ex-husband and best friends, David Heath and his wife Maryann of Canaan, NH. Penny was predeceased by her parents and a brother Dale Sidler.

Visiting hours will be held at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT Thursday January 19th from 6-8 PM.
