Obituary
White River Junction, VT- Pauline Jacobs Foley, 91, died Thursday, October 17, 2019 surrounded by her family at Atlantic Shores Retirement Community in Virginia Beach, VA, following a brief illness.
Pauline was born November 27, 1927 in White River Junction, a daughter of Leon and Edith (Cole) Jacobs. She graduated from Hartford High School class of 1945. She went to work for New England Telephone and Telegraph as an operator retiring after 38 years of service as the Chief Operator.
Pauline enjoyed spending time at the Bugbee Senior Center in White River Junction, following the stock market and having lunch with her friend Laura Rose. Pauline was also a member of the White River United Methodist Church.
She is predeceased by a brother, Leonard Jacobs.
Pauline is survived by two daughters, Jeanne Foley Hughes and her husband Mike and Nancy Foley Doyle all of Virginia Beach, VA; three grand children, Jennifer Boucher and husband Daren, Kevin Deming and wife Barbara, Tyler Foley and his wife Kathryn, great-grandchildren, Ryan Arel, Corey Arel his wife Lauren, Kevin Arel, Brendan Arel, Cameron Boucher, Jillian Boucher, Zachary Deming, Diilon Foley, Cameron Foley and Jackson Foley, a great-great-grandson Wesley Arel and two brothers Stuart Jacobs of Shelburne, VT and Leon Jacobs, Jr of White River Junction.
A private graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family in the Hartford Cemetery in White River Junction. Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction has been entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to Pauline's family in an online guestbook at www.knightfuneralhomes.com.
