Obituary

Patricia A. Rumrill, 86, died Monday, August 5, 2024, at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, NH, surrounded by her family.

Patricia was born August 25, 1937, in South Weymouth, MA, a daughter of Kenneth and Eleanor (Beebe) Stevens. Patricia attended boarding school at Howard Seminary from an early age. She then attended Chamberlain School of Retailing in Boston, MA. Patricia was married to George Rumrill in 1969. They lived in Northboro, MA until George's retirement in 1983 when they moved to Hartland, VT. For the next twenty years they enjoyed traveling the United States and Mexico in their RV. They also travelled internationally with friends and later through the Mascoma Bank Platinum Passport Club.

Patricia was a member of the International Woman's Club. She volunteered with the Hanover Garden Club, and the Etna Ladies Aid Annual Rummage Sale at Trumbull Hall which benefits non-profit and Veteran's organizations in the Upper Valley. She was a talented quilter and an excellent cook. Patrica made "out of this world" Thanksgiving dinners year after year. She enjoyed spending her summers outdoors gardening and had a stunning floral display at her home as a result. She relished time spent time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, taking them out to lunches, attending numerous sporting events, and finding her way to be present at every milestone event. Her passion for staying active led her to nearly 30 years of tap dancing at dancers' corner in WRJ. She enjoyed a wealth of lifelong friendships in both the Upper Valley and at Duxbury Beach. She was an eternal optimist and lived life to the fullest without regret.

Patrica was preceded in death by her beloved husband George Rumrill and her daughter-in-law Denise Keith.

She is survived by her three sons Kenneth Keith and his wife of Hartland, Edward Keith and his wife of Westford, MA, and Michael Keith of Douglas, MA, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the incredible staff at Jack Byrne Center as well as Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction, who assisted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to Patricia's family in an online guestbook at www.knightfuneralhomes.com .
