PATRICIA M. O'BRIEN
QUECHEE, VT- Patricia M. O'Brien, 79, of Quechee, VT died peacefully in her home on Wednesday July 14.
She was born October 20, 1931 in White Plains, NY, the daughter of Erastus Sherman White and Marie Elizabeth White. Patricia grew up and spent most of her early life around New York City. In 1954, on Memorial Day weekend, she married Garry O'Brien in Mount Vernon, NY. She loved travelling and did so extensively around the globe, leaving her mark everywhere she visited and lived. After settling in Quechee Vermont in 1984, she began working in the personnel office of the Woodstock Inn, where she stayed until her retirement in 1999.
Patricia was an avid supporter of Vermont's wildlife. She also enjoyed playing bridge and mahjong, and spending time with her family.
She is predeceased by her husband Garry in 1997
Patricia leaves behind a son, Garry O'Brien and his wife Jessica and two children Alexeya and Nathaniel, all of Natick, MA, a daughter, Christine O'Brien of Frisco, TX, and a sister, BJ Cruit of Reston, VA.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. The Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. VT assisted with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Lucy McKenzie Humane Society, PO Box 343, Woodstock, VT 05091 or the Upper Valley Haven, 745 Hartford Ave., White River Jct., VT 05001.
