WEST LEBANON, NH- Patricia Mae Daley, 75 of West Lebanon, NH, died at her home on Monday December 13, 2010.

Patricia was born of February 2, 1935, the daughter of Robert and Mayford (Acquit) Pelton in Claremont, NH. She graduated from Stevens High and embarked on a retail sales career, which included manager Brooks ladies apparel, formerly known as Nugents, in the West Lebanon shopping plaza. She then moved on to manager of food at the old power house location, which was sponsored by La Satte, manager of Skitogs in LaValley's Plaza, Church's Childrens clothes in Honover, and finally a short employment at a children's store in the new Power House Mall, until retiring due to illness.

Patricia married Matthew Daley at St. Anthony's Parish in White River Junction, June 17 1958. Her husband's work took them to Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Montpelier, and Hartford Village, before finally settling in West Lebanon in 1966.

Patricia had a tenacious memory for names, as well as a quick wit coupled with a humorous comment that would usually provoke a laugh. She would leave you with the thought that she had a deep interest in your life, which was sincere.

You did not have to travel far in the Upper Valley before someone would say, Hi Pat. You would ask her who that was and she would say, "Some customers I knew and sold things to." Mothers, daughters, and granddaughters alike, to keep the customers train going and because of her memory, she not only kept track of the names and ages of children and grandchildren, but also knew where they went to school and who they married. She had exceptional organizational talents, her cohorts would say "Pat could be President of the United States on a part time basis and still manage to raise a family, ski, golf, and go trout fishing."

Pat was an avid member of the Whaleback ski club and was involved in ski week as well as their famous roast beef and pig roast dinners put on by the club. Her entire family spent many winters at Whaleback during their formative years

Pat was predeceased by her son Matthew Daley III and her brother Robert Pelton.

She is survived by her husband Matthew of West Lebanon, a daughter, Shannon Daley Buskey her husband Will, and their three children Alex, Eliza and Maxwell all of Lebanon, a son Bartley Daley his wife Jill and their children Esperanza and Paddy all of Plainfield, a nephew Keith Pelton and his family in Claremont, and her aunt Ruth Supernalt and family of Moira, NY and the Charles Michalenoick family of Claremont and Lebanon, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday December 17 at 10 AM at St. Anthony's Church in White River Jct. Burial will follow at the West Lebanon Cemetery.
