White River Junction, VT - Patricia Romano Castellini, 91, passed away peacefully Monday, March 16, 2026, at The Village at White River Junction.
Born August 10, 1934, to the late Albert, Sr. and Clorinda Lena Romano. Patti grew up in White River Jct. and lived there all of her life. She graduated from Hartford High School class of 1952 and started working at New England Telephone Company as a junior in high school. She continued her career with the phone company for forty years, retiring from AT&T in 1991. Patti was a hard worker, and never one to sit still too long, she began working at the Veteran’s Administration as a mail clerk in 1992 and stayed there for ten years, retiring in 2002.
Patti was married to Herbert Castellini May 19, 1967, at St. Anthony’s Church in White River Jct., where she was a lifelong member.
She was predeceased by a son, John Jarvis, Jr. as well as her sisters, Pauline McCarthy and Antoinette Mayette and brothers, Dr. Albert Romano and Richard Romano.
She leaves her devoted husband, Herbert of White River Jct., stepchildren, Herbert Castellini, Jr. and wife Judy of Florida, Jeffrey Castellini and wife Laura of Enfield Center, NH and Wendy Moore and her partner Dale Atwood of Barre, VT; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews including Robert McCarthy, Jr. and wife Cindy McCarthy of Lebanon, NH who were especially close with her.
A visitation will be held Thursday, March 19th from 4-6PM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Friday, March 20th at St. Anthony’s Church with burial to follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bugbee Senior Center, 262 North Main Street, White River Jct., VT 05001, or a charity of your choice. Condolences may be made in an online guestbook at knightfuneralhomes.com.
