Olive Madeline Copp, 87, died Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Mt. Ascutney Hospital in Windsor, VT, After a brief illness.
Olive was born February, 29, 1924 in Walden, VT a daughter of John and Lula(Shatiney) Dubray. She grew up in West Barnet, VT and attended school there and graduated from the Peacham Academy in Peacham, VT. She was first married to Frank Mcgill. They had one son , Frank Jr. before his passing. Later she was married to Kenneth Kinerson and had two daughters, Rosalie and Greta. She owned and operated the Jack and Jill Children's Clothing Shop in Bellows Falls, VT before moving to East Berkshire, VT . She worked in the neighboring town of Enosburg Fall as an Advertising Manager for the Franklin County Observer; a local newspaper company. In 1968 she graduated from Howard Johnson Motor Lodge School before opening the Howard Johnson Motor Lodge in White River Junction, VT She worked there for eighteen years as manager before retiring. She was married to Franklin Copp October 31, 1969 at the United Church of Christ in Lebanon, NH.
Olive loved to bake for her family and friends. She also loved watching the Boston Celtics Basketball team, flowers, and trips to Foxwoods Casino.
She is predeceased by her first husband Franklin Mcgill, her third husband Franklin Copp, a son Frank Mcgill Jr. and two daughters Rosalie Luscombe and Greta Tobin.
Survivors include six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A memorial graveside service will be held Monday, July 18th at 1PM at the Hartford Cemetery in White River Junction, VT arrangements have been entrusted to the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction.
