Obituary

Wilder, VT- Norman W. Conrad, 92, peacefully passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the Jack Byrne Center at DHMC in Lebanon, NH.

Norman was born October 13, 1930, in Rutland, VT, a son of Kenneth and Marian (Weber) Conrad. He attended the Hanover Schools and was married to Geneva Labelle in 1951 in West Hartford, VT. They lived in Thetford while he ran the Colton Farm. They later moved to Lebanon and finally settled in Wilder, VT where they have lived ever since. Norman went to work at Dartmouth College as a carpenter, retiring in 1995 after 43 years of service, the last 20 years as the Carpenter's Foreman.

Norman served on the Lebanon Civil Air Patrol and was a member of the Lyme Pinnacle Snowmobile Club where he helped groom trails. He enjoyed camping with his wife following retirement, took much satisfaction in painting pictures, making crafts like jewelry and wood toys, and building model airplanes and trains.

Norman is predeceased by his wife Geneva in 2014.

He is survived by three sons, Douglas and his wife, Barbara, of Wilder, VT, Stephen and his wife, Lori, of Enfield, NH and Donald of Brattleboro, VT; four grandchildren, Chris and his wife Lisa, Angela and her husband, Dale, Jonathon and his wife, Cathy, and Jennifer; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lawrence and his wife, Kathy, of Tennessee.
