White River Jct., VT – Niles E. Kelly, 51, died October 20, 2017 in White River Jct., VT. He was born March 18, 1966 a son of Niles Brown and Carolyn Kelly in Hartford, CT. Niles grew up in Connecticut where he worked with his father painting until he moved to the Upper Valley in 1985. He continued working as a painter and carpenter for local contractors including Home Partners for many years. Niles enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family especially large family gatherings. He will be remembered fondly as a jokester and prankster. He was predeceased by his mother in 2007 and leaves his father of White River Jct., his wife Melissa Kelly also of White River Jct.; sons Ethan Kelly of Lebanon, NH and Andrew Kelly of Connecticut; brothers Benjamin Kelly of East Hartford, CT, Gary Shlicting of White River Jct.; sisters Roberta Kelly of White River Jct., Nileen Hickman of East Hartford, CT, Gladys Mazzerello or Wethersfield, VT and Charleen Shlicting of Hartford, CT, as well as several nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held at the Wilder Library Club House, 78 Norwich Ave, Wilder, VT 05088 on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 6pm
