Claremont, NH - Naomi Lilla Barton,95, passed away peacefully on August 30,2019 at the Elmwood Center in Claremont NH. She was born August 25, 1924 to Lynn Grant  and Etta (Ashley) Barton in Windsor, VT. She attended schools in Brownsville and  Windsor, VT and worked at Goodyear many many years, retiring when she was 55  to enjoy her life, and that is what she did. Spending time with her family and  friends gave her great joy. Naomi had a love of the outdoors, she could fix  anything and had a quick wit and never lost her sense of humor. She was  instrumental in raising her nieces, Cheryl, Vicki and Michelle as well as the many  others who considered her a Mom.

She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers Wyval J. Barton and Kermit Barton, her niece Cheryl (Barton) Monroe and her grand niece Micelle (Thibodeau) Schwarz.

She is survived by her niece Victoria Stillson and her husband Ron of Hartland VT, their children Sherilyn Valley and her husband Chris of Enfield NH, and Kelly Stillson, Beaufort, SC, great grand nieces Kristina and Gabriella Valley and great grand nephews Dylan and Huntley Stillson, she is also survived by one nephew
William Barton of TX, Nephew Dean Thibodeau and wife Mary and niece Heather Monroe. Michelle's children Patrick, Ashley, Dave and Nicole. She is also survived by many dear friends whom she considered family.

A visitation will be held on Friday,  September 6, at the Knight Funeral Home from 5-7pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the funeral home at 11am followed by interment in the Ascutney Cemetery.  Condolences to Naomi's family may be expressed in an online guestbook at www.knightfuneralhomes.com.
