White River Jct., VT – Nancy May(Humphrey) Farrar, 83, died peacefully, Thursday morning, December 15th at her home surrounded by loving family. She was born June 22, 1933 in Highgate, VT the daughter of Reginald and Hazel (Humgenfond) Humphrey. Nancy grew up and attended schools in Highgate, VT. She was married to Wendell Farrar in 1950 in Highgate. During her working career Nancy worked in retail sales first for Grayman and Freeman in White River Jct., VT selling office supplies for over twenty years and then later for Cowens Clothing Store both in Lebanon, NH and Hanover, NH.
Nancy was a very talented embroider, an exceptional cook and enjoyed working in the flower garden. Nancy absolutely loved her dogs and spending time with them.
She was predeceased by a son, Loren Farrar as well as a brother, Wayne Humphrey and sister Madeline Faulkner.
She is survived by her loving husband of over sixty years, Wendell Farrar, a son, Stephen Farrar and his wife Viola of West Fairlee, VT, two grandchildren Timothy Farrar of Vershire, VT and Stephanie Williams of Thetford, VT two sisters, Phyllis Cassidy of St. Albans, VT and Carolyn Stecklare of Burlington, VT as well as several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in the springtime in the Christian Street Cemetery in White River Jct., VT.
