ASCUTNEY, VT
Nancy L. Bushway, 65, a longtime resident of Ascutney, passed away Wednesday evening, September 28, at the Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor.
She was born March 15, 1946 in Rutland, Vermont the daughter of Henry and Mabel (Rhoads) Allen. She received her schooling in Weathersfield and Windsor. She married Charles L. Bushway in Ascutney on May 15, 1966. She was employed as a production worker for Holson Photo in Claremont and more recently for Lance Inc. in Windsor. She was a member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary in Springfield. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Nancy was fond of spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include, her husband Charles Bushway of Ascutney, three daughters, Wanda Nickerson of Fitzwilliam, NH, Tammy Bushway of Weathersfield, VT and Tonia Bushway of Weathersfield, VT, five grandchildren, Trisha, Shawna, Andrew, Tiffany and Toshia, two great grandchildren, Aiden and Collin, one brother, Wayne Allen of Springfield, VT, one sister, Roxanne Pierce of Springfield, VT, several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 8, at 11:00 AM in the Ascutneyville Cemetery in Ascutney.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Vermont Lung Association at 30 Farrell Street, South Burlington, VT 05401.
The Knight Funeral Home in Windsor is entrusted with the arrangements.
