Sharon, Vermont – Myra G. Miller, 78, died early Thursday morning, September 13, 2018 at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care in Lebanon, NH.
She was born September 13, 1940 in Royalton, VT the daughter of John Alfred and Wanda (Luce) Miller. Myra attended schools in Royalton. She started her working career at an early age. She held several different jobs in her younger years including, Brookside Nursing Home as an LNA, The Atlantic Dinner as a Cook, Luminescence and Hypertherm in Lebanon, NH. Myra moved to Sharon, VT in 1986 to live with her daughter "Boogie" Miller.
Along with her full time employment she also raised four children. She retired from Hyperthrem in 2006 but continued to work part time there until her health forced her to stop in 2009.
She enjoyed traveling to Georgia to visit family with her daughter, Boogie, including vacations to Las Vegas and cruises with her brother and sister-in-law, as well as a trip to KD Guest Ranch in Ohio with her sister, Dar and brother-in-law, Dan. She loved camping with family and friends.
Myra is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Regina "Boogie" M. Miller of Sharon, VT, daughter, Katrina K. Garrity (Kevin Macauley)of Woodstock, GA, two sons, Brian K. Miller of Royalton, VT, Alfred Miller (Pauline Barrett) of Sharon, VT, Burt and Lisa Martin of Sharon, VT, two sisters, Darlene Miller (Dan Hewes) of Groton, NH, Donalyn Churchill of Royalton, VT. She was predeceased by her only brother, John I. Miller, (Annette Miller)of Lebanon, NH, who passed away earlier this year, January, 8 th . Myra leaves behind the following grandchildren, Destiny, Christy, Bryan, Jayson, Jeffery, Lawerence, Jennifer, Melissa, Carrie, as well as nine great grandchildren. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews including Rhonda (Andrew) Laskey, Chad (Michelle) Miller and Renee (Dagan) Murray as well as several cousins. She will be deeply and sadly missed by her beloved puppy, Mitsy, who provided much love and affection.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 1PM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT.
