Muriel S. Gee

West Lebanon, NH – Muriel S. Gee, 102, died Friday September 25, 2015 at St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation Center in St. Johnsbury, VT.

She was born June 24, 1913 in Norwich, VT a daughter of Harlan and Ella (Switser) Slack. Muriel attended school in Etna, NH before moving to North Hartland where she worked with her mother at Slack's Tourist Home. She married Frederick "Tommy" Gee in Hartland in 1934. They made their home in Wilder, VT where they spent the rest of their married lives. After Mr. Gee died in 1987, Muriel remained in Wilder until moving to West Lebanon to live with her daughter in 2008. She has been a resident at St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation since February.

Mrs. Gee took great pride in caring for her family and her home.

She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick M. Gee, an infant son Frederick Harlan Gee, and a sister Luella Shaw.

She leaves two daughters, Lorraine Gee of Lyndonville, VT and Nyleen Gee LeDuc and husband Robert of West Lebanon, NH as well as 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT on Thursday October 1 from 1-2PM. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 2PM with burial in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
