Quechee, VT – Michael J. Paino, 66, of Quechee, died on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He was born on February 28, 1956, in Cortland, NY to Philip and Kathleen (Bellardini) Paino.
Michael graduated from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY in 1978 with a B.S. in Biology. He married Mary J. Smith of Camillus, NY on July 21, 1979 at St. Joseph's Church in Camillus, NY. He enjoyed a successful career, most notably in plastics manufacturing with Rubbermaid and Little Tikes. Michael and his wife Mary moved to Quechee, VT in 1996 and successfully owned and operated Carefree Quechee Vacations for almost two decades.
When Michael was not working, he enjoyed being in the kitchen creating meals for family and always wanted to do the grocery shopping. Michael had a love for animals, and all animals loved and were drawn to him instantly. He enjoyed reading Tom Clancy novels, listening to his favorite Neil Diamond albums, and especially watching his children's sporting and musical events. Michael's greatest passion was his four children, and he was so proud of their achievements. His love for his family was always apparent, and Michael could be described as everybody's rock. He was truly a devoted father and husband.
Michael is survived by his wife, Mary J. Paino of Quechee and four children, Anthony Paino of Fountain Hills, AZ, Maria Paino and husband, Matthew May of Troy, MI, Andrew Paino and wife, Meghan of Wilder, VT, and Michael Paino and wife, Marissa of Baldwinsville, NY; one brother, Martin Paino and wife, Debra of New Cumberland, PA; three grandchildren Francesca, Emma, and Sophia; cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in White River Junction. Burial will be held at a later date in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Marcellus, NY.
