Michael S. Spence r (Mickey) passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at his home in Hartland, VT at the age of 57.

Mickey attended Hartland Elementary School and was a graduate of Hartford High School in 1983. After high school, he went on to work as a mechanic at the Brownsville Garage in Brownsville, VT, followed by employment at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for 18 years as an HVAC specialist, and most recently, Fuji Films, both located in Lebanon, NH.

Mickey loved to hunt and fish with his dad, uncles, and cousins; watch NASCAR and sports on TV (especially the New England teams); and was an active member of the Windsor Elks lodge. Mickey was a "true Vermonter" and believed there was no reason to live elsewhere.

Mickey is survived by his loving parents, Janice (nee Smith) and James (Mick) Spencer; h i s sister, Julie Spencer; his nephew Daniel Marchick and his family; his numerous aunts and uncles: Dennis and Hope Spencer, Thomas and Dawn Spencer, Alana and Wayne Barrows, Deanne Spaulding, Alan and Brenda Smith, Norman, and Nancy Smith; and many, many cousins.

A private committal ceremony for family members will be held in the Hilltop Cemetery in Quechee. A Celebration of Life hono r ing Mickey will take place on a future date.
