Michael Jay Kendall
Nantucket, MA – Michael Jay Kendall, 44, died unexpectedly at his home on Nantucket on Monday May 23. He was born on September 12, 1966 in Lebanon, New Hampshire to the proud parents of Rodney and Carol Kendall of Wilder, Vermont.
Michael graduated from Hartford High School in 1984 and worked at Timken Aerospace for over 20 years in Lebanon, NH. After leaving Timken, Michael moved to Nantucket, MA to work with his cousin Mark O'Banion. Most recently Michael worked for Madeket Marina assisting people with their boats. Michael found great peace and tranquility on the Island and spent many nights at Madaket Beach to read and watch the most beautiful sunsets. He truly loved spending time with Mark's children, Alice, Baer, and Sara and liked the idea that they called him "Uncle Mike". He enjoyed hunting and scalloping with his cousin's Mark and Jeff Henderson. He also was an avid NASCAR fan and truly enjoyed his recent visit to the infield at the Loudon track where he got a hat and autograph from Danica Patrick!
Michael is survived by his parents Rodney and Carol of Wilder, his sister Lynn Guillette and her husband Jeff of Lebanon, NH, his brother Patrick Kendall of Maryland, his nephew Nicholas Kendall, his aunt Shirley Ryea and her husband Babe of Enfield, NH, and several very dear cousins.
Friends may call from 6pm to 8pm at Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction on Friday, May 27. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1PM on Saturday, May 28th at St. Anthony's Church in White River Junction, VT with burial following in the Mount Olivet Cemetery also in White River Junction.
