Springfield, VT – Michael D. Kangas, Sr., 74, of Springfield died on Saturday, August 19, 2023, after a long illness. He was born on March 30, 1949, in Claremont, NH to John and Mae Elizabeth Kangas.

He was a loving and devoted father to Tiffany Kangas of South Royalton, VT, Michael Kangas, Jr. of White River Junction, VT, and Christopher Kangas of Maine; brother of Jonathan Roy Kangas "Buster", Gordon Kangas "Sunny", and Esther Griffith; grandfather of David, Tesha, Christopher, Christine, and Kye.

A celebration of life will be held later.
