Fairlee, VT – Michael S. Gray, 46, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, March 8, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center of complications from an embolism.
Michael was born June 19, 1971 in Woodsville, NH the son of Edmund and Linda (Jenks) Gray. He grew up in Lyme and graduated from Orford High School. After graduation he worked in several different jobs including as a painter, doing light carpentry and lawn maintenance. For three years he worked at New England Wire in Lisbon, NH. Most recently he was the dispatcher at White River Toyota.
Michael was very proud of his two children, Tristan and Paige and especially proud that Tristan was serving in the US Marines. Michael was a quiet "keep to himself" kind of guy who loved brook fishing and ice fishing on Post Pond in Lyme, NH.
He is survived by a son, Tristan Gray of Bradford, VT and currently serving his basic training with the US Marines, a daughter, Paige Gray, of Woodsville, NH, his mother Linda Jenks Gray of Fairlee, a sister Beth-Anne Searles of White River Jct., VT, a brother, Edmund Gray of Orford, NH, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved dogs DJ and Chaco.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, March 16, 5-7pm followed by a celebration of his life immediately at 7pm at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction.
