Windsor, VT – Michael "Moe" Patrick Eddy, 70, died Tuesday morning, August 30,2022 at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, NH.
Moe was born December 22, 1951, in Albany, NY, the son of William and Elsie (Delafontaine) Eddy. During his school years, he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and earned his credentials to become an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Windsor High School in 1969 and served in the Vermont National Guard from 1971-1977. While in the service, he was awarded a special commendation for rifle sharp shooting. Moe also worked in the Windsor prison print shop as a printer alongside his father. But for most of his life he worked as a long-haul trucker, delivering fuel and other petroleum products. Moe was his own man, and he enjoyed his life.
Moe was a longtime member of American Legion Post 26 of Windsor.
He was a very experienced outdoorsman who hunted and fished at Motown, his camp in Sudbury, VT. The furnishings at the camp were quirky all hand crafted by him and his friends from items collected from the local woods. He always looked forward to hunting season with his favorite guy, dad. He cherished his family and his many friends.
Moe is survived by his sister, Gale (Eddy) Levin Epstein of Tampa Florida; two nieces, Raina of Lakeland Florida, and Carissa of San Diego California. other relatives, and many friends. R.I.P. brother
