Michael I. Boar, 74, died at home, Friday November 1, 2019.

He was born April 25, 1945 in Manhattan, NY a son of Irving and Fay (Reisberg) Boar.  Michael grew up in Little Neck on Long Island and graduated high school from The School of Art and Design in Manhattan.  He opened a photography studio for a time before beginning a career at the US Post Office.  He was married to Nicole Brownstein on Long Island in 1969 and they moved to Vermont in the early 1970's, living first in Ascutney and then in White River Jct., for the past forty years.  Michael retired from the White River Jct. post office fifteen years ago.

Michael was an avid animal lover and especially loved his cats and his German shepherd.  When he was younger he enjoyed hiking.

He is survived by his wife, Nicole, and his daughter Shoshana Boar both of White River Jct.  He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Bernie Boar.

There are no services planned at this time.  Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. has been entrusted with arrangements.
