Thetford, VT – Melinda "Mindy" Ann Clark, 60, died early Wednesday morning, August 30, 2023 at her home in Thetford Center.  Mindy was born in Lebanon, NH on February 4, 1963, to Richard Ellis and Anna (Hopkins) Jones and spent her childhood and early adulthood in White River Junction, VT.  On a rainy day in 1983, she met a guy named Wayne at a mutual friend's wedding. The two decided to run an errand for the wedding party in his car and were involved in a minor fender bender. They spent the rest of the day together, first at the hospital, then a local bar, and five years later, on March 26, 1988, they were married and have lived in Thetford ever since.

Mindy was a staple at the White River Junction Post Office for over 35 years. She enjoyed the various challenges and different duties that she performed there throughout her career and appreciated interacting with customers that she got to know through the front office. When not at work, she and Wayne relaxed at home, in the pool, or camping with friends and family, and in each place, Mindy almost always was working on an intricate needle point or cross stitch project or reading a book.  Her fine needlework creations are treasured by her friends and family as artwork that brings life and love to their homes.
Although the family didn't leave their beloved home of Vermont very often, she did cherish the trips that she and Emma made to Disney and a Comic Con.

Mindy was predeceased by a sister, Cynthia Jones, sister-in-law, Brenda Amadon, and father-in-law, Roy Clark.

She is survived by her husband Wayne R. Clark of Thetford; daughter Emma Morgan Clark and husband Alex Brueckner and grand dog Scarlet of Canaan, NH; parents Richard Ellis and Anna (Hopkins) Jones of Windsor; brother Maurice Jones and wife Cheryl of Lebanon, NH; sister-in-law Deb Harlow and husband Jim of Thetford; mother-in-law, Marion Clark of Hanover, NH, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
