Meghan Amanda Gaboury

Meghan Amanda Gaboury, 36, went home to Jesus on Thursday June 25, 2026, in Lebanon, NH following a long, courageous, heartbreaking two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer.

Meghan was born September 10, 1989, in St. Albans, the daughter of Crystal L’Esperance and Steven Gaboury. She has lived in West Lebanon since 2023.

Meghan grew up in St. Albans VT and graduated from Community High School. Meghan was an avid snowboarder. She especially loved riding with her little brother, Issiah, whom she taught to ride. She loved the woods trails & terrain parks and sought out those Black Diamonds. Some of the happiest moments she shared with her Mom, Crystal and brother were in the beautiful VT Mountains, on Lake Champlain & along the rivers fishing. Meghan thrived in the outdoors. She enjoyed traveling with her wife of 13 years. Some of the most memorable trips were living in Costa Rica for 6 months, white water rafting in Maine, and a helicopter ride over the Atlantic Ocean. Meghan loved plants of all kinds and had a natural "green thumb" for them - she took great pride in her garden. She also enjoyed watching what was visiting her bird feeders, including the bears that loved them. Meghan will be remembered for her tenacious will to live, her headstrong and outspoken personality, and her protectiveness for her family. Meghan was especially close to her sister, Melissa Gaboury, who preceded her in death in 2021. They were born just 20 months apart, best friends and took on all life threw at them, together. They were unbreakable. Meghan lost a big part of herself due to Melissa's passing, but our family does find comfort in knowing that they are once again together, for eternity & that Meghan is no longer suffering from that loss and all that cancer took from her. Haley ensured Meghan was able to remain at home during the course of her illness, taking on the role as caretaker.

Meghan is survived by her wife Haley Colburn & their fur baby, Sailor of West Lebanon, NH.

Mother, Crystal L’Esperance of South Burlington, VT; father, Steven Gaboury of St. Albans, VT, her brother Issiah L’Esperance of South Burlington, VT.
