Windsor, VT - Mary Olive (Sulham) Tracy, 99, died Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Stoughton House in Windsor, VT. She was born June 11, 1924, in Pittsfield, VT to Franklin Sulham and Mary Wescott.

Olive grew up in Pittsfield, leaving school after eighth grade to start working to help provide for her family. She worked as a housekeeper for a physician some time before she met her first husband Robert Whitcomb. Their marriage lasted only a couple of years following the birth of their son, Bob.

While living and working in Windsor, she met her second husband William "Bill" Tracy shortly after. They lived in Cornish, NH for a year, then moved to Windsor, VT, only to return to Cornish a year later. She stayed home to raise their children but throughout her life she took jobs outside the home as well. Following Bill's retirement, they built a home in Pittsfield.

Both Bill and Olive were extremely active members of the Plainfield Community Church in Plainfield, NH. In her later years and following Bill's death in 1993, Olive attended the Old South Church in Windsor, VT. Olive enjoyed gardening, sewing, and was a constant reader.

Olive is survived by her son, Robert "Bob" Whitcomb of Troy, NH, four grandchildren, three nieces, and two nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her two daughters, Pricilla Tracy and Robin Tracy, and her husband, Bill.

A service will be held at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor, VT, on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 2:30PM.
