White River Junction, VT - Mary Estelle St. Jacques, 94, died Sunday July 26, 2015 at Valley Terrace in White River Jct.

She was born in Northumberland, NH on June 16, 1921 the daughter of Eloi and Melanie (Johnson) Roy. Estelle graduated from Connecticut Central College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and taught in the Hartford and West Hartford, Connecticut elementary schools. She married Marcus St. Jacques at St. John's Church in Rumford, ME on July 5, 1948. They lived in West Hartford, CT until 1968 when they moved to White River Jct. She then taught at the Wilder Elementary school until her retirement in 1986. After her retirement she was active with a variety of volunteer work.

Estelle's family is deeply appreciative to Valley Terrace for all the kindness that was extended to them at a time when it was needed.

She was predeceased by her husband, Marc; her son, Paul Joseph; her sister, Flora Roy and her brother Edward Roy.

She leaves two sons, Mark and his wife, Louise, of Delmar, NY and Peter and his wife, Brenda, of Portsmouth, RI; a daughter-in-law Karen St. Jacques of Lebanon, NH; a grandson, Matthew St. Jacques and his wife Abby of Hastings, MI; four granddaughters Alicia and her husband Bob Hazen of Voorheesville, NY, Briana St. Jacques of Delmar, NY, Melissa St. Jacques of Lauderhill, FL and Emily St. Jacques of Portsmouth, RI; four great grandsons Wyatt, Weston and Joseph Paul Hazen of Voorheesville, NY and Liam Paul St. Jacques of Hastings, MI; a great granddaughter Jenevieve Hazen of Voorheesville, NY a brother Leonard of Auburn, ME as well as three nieces Cathy Roy of Lady Lake, FL, Joanne Roy of Burlington, MA and Michelle Roy of Washington, DC, a grandnephew, Theo Roy of Washington, DC.

There will be no calling hours; a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday July 30th at 11AM in St. Anthony's Church in White River Jct.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Anthony's Church Building Fund, 15 Church St., White River Jct., VT 05001.
