BROWNSVILLE, VT
Mary Ann Gross, 69, a resident of Brownsville, passed away Monday morning, November 28 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.
She was born August 13, 1942 in Amityville, Long Island, New York. She received her schooling in Millbrook, NY and graduated from Millbrook High School in 1960. She married Rudolph C. Gross in Millbrook on July 1, 1961. She and her husband owned and operated "Golden Thistle Furniture and Gifts" in Hughsonville, NY for fifteen years. They retired to Brownsville, VT in 2007. She was a member of the Tyson Ladies Aid Society in South Reading. Mary enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Rudolph Gross of Brownsville, VT, her mother Pauline Gorman of Clovis, CA, three sons, Thomas Gross and his wife, Darlene of Hyde Park, NY, Robert Gross and his wife, Susan Piccoli of Springfield, VT and Andrew Gross and his wife, Heidi of Washingtonville, NY, one daughter, Darla Sue Smith of Poughkeepsie, NY, six grandchildren, Kaylene Smith, Jenna Smith, Elizabeth Gross, Alexander Gross, Trinity Gross and "Otto", one sister, Elizabeth Novy of Clovis, CA, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 2 at 2:00 PM at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor. The Rev. Raymond Vaillancourt, Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Windsor will officiate. Committal services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
