DeLand, Florida - Marvin Ladue, age 92, passed Friday, February 21, 2020. Marvin was born in Franklin, Vermont and grew up in St. Albans, Vermont. He married Mildred McKenney in 1949, and later the family relocated from Vermont to Connecticut to pursue better work opportunities. Marvin and "Millie" moved to Winter Park, Florida in 1978 and then to DeLand, Florida, where Marvin resided until his death. Marvin and Millie enjoyed many years of traveling throughout their life. Marvin is lovingly remembered as a hard-working man, who took good care of his family and was known throughout the neighborhood as the Dad who could repair anything. He loved ice-skating and was a strong swimmer, enjoying both sports as often as possible. Preceded in death was his wife of 56 years, Mildred McKenney Ladue. Marvin is survived by sons Bruce Ladue, of DeLand, Florida; Mark Ladue (Katherine), from Live Oak, Florida; daughter Linda (Ladue) Byrne (John), of Monterey, California; grandchildren Krisanne, Scott, Shannon and Daniel; his two remaining brothers-in-law, Nelson McKenney and John McKenney; his dear friend, Bobbie Sicola; and countless nieces and nephews. His funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 12, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in White River Junction and interment will follow at Mt. Olivet cemetery. Knight Funeral Home, White River Junction, has been entrusted with services.
