Trottier
August 18, 1965 – June 4, 2022
Winter Haven, Florida- Martin P. Trottier passed away at Winter Haven Hospital in Florida on June 4, 2022, never recovering from a mid-March stroke. He was born on August 18, 1965 in Hanover, NH, the youngest of six children of Emmanuel "Pete" and Barbara (Ross) Trottier. Whenever any of their friends needed a ride to or from the airport for themselves or their visiting family, or whenever they needed help with their computer, it was Martin they called, and Martin was always willing to help them out.
Studying the Civil War was one of Martin's passions and he had an extensive library of Civil War books. Collecting tea pots was another hobby of his. He enjoyed bowling, bingo, cooking, often sharing recipes, eating, and sharing his enthusiasm of theme park rides with his nieces and nephews much to the gratitude of his siblings. Phoenix, Arizona was one of his favorite places and he lived there for several years.
As his parents aged, Martin became their caregiver, taking them to appointments and being there when needed. After his father died, his mother relied on him more and more. They moved back to Hartland to be nearer more family They enjoyed playing cards, eating out, and taking long car rides, enjoying the countryside. After the death of his mother in October of 2020, Martin left Hartland for the warmth and friends he left behind in Florida.
Martin is survived by his sisters, Deborah (Donald) of Londonderry, VT, Catherine (James) of Hartland, VT, and Margaret "Peggy" (Scott) of Lebanon, NH, brothers, Arthur (Nancy) of Wilder, VT and Thomas (Christine) of Florissant, CO, an uncle, Robert Trottier of Lebanon, NH, an aunt, Pauline Trottier of Claremont, NH, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
