Ascutney, VT – Martha F. Ingalls, 73, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, NH. She was born in Windsor, VT on October 16, 1950, to Hayward and Myrle (Marshall) Farnsworth.

Martha married Andre Ingalls on July 12, 1969, at the Weathersfield Center Church, together they made their home and raised their family in the Ascutney, VT. Martha worked for nearly thirty years as the office manager for South Face Construction in Brownsville.

Never one to sit still, she was always busy.

Martha's can-do personality and desire to keep moving allowed her to constantly take on new challenges and projects, from home improvement to sewing, gardening and baking, she enjoyed it all, especially when working alongside Andre, one of her children, or grandchildren. She was devoted to her family. She shared special bonds with her granddaughter London Heiden, her grandson Gavin Ingalls. She had very close relationships with her nephew Rob Shepherd, and her niece Gina Buteau.

She is survived by her husband Andre of Ascutney; two children, daughter Korrie Heiden and son Kelly Ingalls and wife Kendra, all of Springfield, VT; three siblings Cheryl Reid and husband Bruce of Congress, AZ, Dana Farnsworth and wife Linda of West Swanzey, NH, and Mark Farnsworth and wife Debra of Central, SC; two grandchildren London Heiden of Perkinsville, VT and Gavin Ingalls of Springfield; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at the Ascutneyville Cemetery in Ascutney, VT. Refreshments to follow at the Weathersfield Center Church, Weathersfield, Vermont.
