White River Junction, VT – Martha A. Boucher, 83, died on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Hanover Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center after a short illness. She was the youngest child born to Stanley and Doris (Clifford) Roberts in Hartford, VT on May 21, 1941. She grew up in Hartford village, spending a lot of time outside with other neighborhood children. Growing up, she and her brother Stanley had an especially close bond and remained good friends until his death.
She married Joseph L. Boucher, Jr. on February 7, 1959, and began their marriage traveling while he was in the service. After his honorable discharge, they returned home and lived in Quechee and White River Junction, VT. They were married for almost 60 years at his death in 2017.
She enjoyed splitting the year, spending winters with their son in Arizona and summers in Vermont, close to their daughter.
She is survived by her two children Cheryl Clark and husband Gig of White River Junction, VT and David Boucher and wife Ellen of Phoenix, AZ; five grandsons Frank, Bobby, Christopher, Justin, and Kevin; fifteen great grandchildren Mike, Josh, Sam, Selah, Ephraim, Fox, Daphne, Vyolet, Hayden, Aryia, Elliot, Tanner, Haley, Urijah, and Madi; other relatives and friends. She cherished time spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers Raymond and Stanley.
At Martha's request, a private burial will be held at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery and Knight Funeral Home of White River Junction has been entrusted with arrangements.
Martha's last month was made more comfortable by the excellent care she received at Hanover Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation.
