Marshall H. Young, 69 died on Sunday, March 21 at home.


He was born on January 8, 1941 in Hanover to Melvin and Nellie Young. He attended schools in Quechee and Hartford High School. In 1963 he was married to Isabelle J. Cole. In his earlier years, he worked for Barltett Tree Co. before becoming an avid carpenter for many years. He is survived by his wife, Isabelle Young of Woodstock and his children Robert Young of Warren, Vt and his daughter Donna Young of Vershire, his granddaughters Amanda Chamberlin and Cally Young, his stepchildren Sally Emerson of Ryegate, Ethan Jillson of Burlington and Rose Swift of Norwich, his brother Merton Young of Quechee, stepgrandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.


He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Bernice, and his stepdaughter Sandra DeLong.


There will be no services at this time.


In lieu of flowers, Marshall requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, specifically for breast cancer research.
