It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mark Galen Hall, 42, of Burlington, VT, formerly of Pownal, VT, on October 9, 2022, surrounded by loving family members at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, following a brief period of illness.

Born on September 22, 1980, in Bennington, VT, Mark was the son of David W. Hall and Linda L. (George) Hall. He graduated from Mt. Anthony Union High School in 1999 and went on to graduate from University of Vermont with honors in 2002. Following temp jobs, he returned to his alma mater and worked in the registrar's office, followed by his senior student advisor position in the college of Arts and Sciences for many years.

For the past 7 years, Mark has enjoyed his home at Burlington CoHousing in East Village. He explored the roads and towns of his home state, took daily walks, enjoyed gardening and houseplants, biking, art museums, bowling (Mt. Greylock Youth "King of the Hill"), cooking, finding bargain purchases, special meals at a good restaurant, family reunions and Lake Champlain sunsets. He was a caring and empathetic person with a wry sense of humor and a wonderful smile.

Mark is survived by his parents, a brother, Matthew G. Hall of Sunnyvale, CA, a niece, Aerilyn B. Oros of San Jose, CA, uncles, G. Kenneth Hall (Charlotte) of Canaan, NH,, Kevin George of Hartland, VT, aunts, Trudy George and Kimberly George of White River Jct. and many cousins.

A celebration of Mark's life will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
