Mark R. "Soldier Boy" Adams, 28, a resident of Windsor passed away Friday morning, January 20, at his home in Windsor, surrounded by his family, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mark was a true hero.
He was born June 16, 1983 in Claremont, NH the son of Mark and Sherry (Runnells) Adams. He was a true inspiration to all that knew him. His family and friends meant everything to him. Mark loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, dirt bike riding, snowmobiles, fast cars and his music.
Survivors include his parents, Mark and Sherry Adams of Windsor, his only and special brother, Matthew Adams also of Windsor, his maternal grandmother, Alta (Becker) Connolly of Windsor, his Grandpa Mike Connolly of Springfield, VT, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mark also had two very special cousins, one who he called "His Little Sis", Maegan Lee and "Little Man", Anthony Tenney.
He was predeceased by his loving paternal grandmother, Louise (Adams) Severance, his paternal grandfather, Derwood Adams, his maternal grandfather, Lester Runnells, and one cousin, John Brown.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 27 at 1:00 PM at the Rachel S. Harlow United Methodist Church in Windsor with the Rev. Ken White, Pastor, officiating.
