WINDSOR, VT
Marion D. Syme, 88, formerly of Millburn, New Jersey, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 23, at the Willows of Windsor, in Windsor, VT, where she has resided since this past February.
She was born July 7, 1921 in Orange, New Jersey the daughter of Rudolph G. and Marguerite (Crawbuck) Richards. She received her schooling in East Orange, NJ where she graduated from East Orange High School in 1940. She married Campbell D. Syme in Newark, NJ on November 21, 1942. Mrs. Syme was employed as a secretary for Kemper Insurance in Summit, NJ for many years.
She was a sixty five year member of the Eastern Star in Plainfield, NJ.
She was predeceased by one brother, Ernest Richards.
Survivors include her husband, Campbell, currently a resident of the Willows of Windsor, in Windsor, VT, two sons, Bruce Syme of Stow, Ohio, and John Syme of Pomfret, VT, one daughter, Elizabeth Syme, also a resident of the Willows of Windsor, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and two nephews.
Services will be held Wednesday, May 26 at 3:30 PM at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor, VT. Committal services will be held at a later date in the family lot in Hollywood Park Cemetery in Union, NJ.
