WOODSTOCK, VT
Marion M. Moore, 79, a longtime resident of Woodstock passed away Thursday afternoon, February 3, at her son's home in Woodstock.
She was born November 20, 1931 in Woodstock the daughter of Lawrence and Izah (Johnson) Martin. She received her schooling in Woodstock and graduated from Woodstock High School in 1951. She married Paul H. Moore in South Royalton on January 25, 1955. They lived in Woodstock most of their married lives. They moved to Windsor in 2005 to reside at the Evarts House. Mr. Moore passed away on March 2, 2007. Marion returned to Woodstock in December of 2008 to live with her son, Kelly and his wife, Gail.
She greatly enjoyed knitting and making quilts. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and was anxiously awaiting the birth of her second great grandchild in May.
She was also predeceased by one son, Timothy J. Moore in 1984.
Survivors include, two sons, Michael D. Moore and his wife, Corinne of Fairlee, VT and Kelly J. Moore and his wife, Gail of Woodstock, one daughter, Colleen Daniels and her husband, Matthew of Quechee, VT, four grandchildren, Shelby Armitage and her husband, Mark of Bradford, VT, Ashley Moore of Woodstock, Kelsey Coyle and her husband, Joshua of Reading, VT and Alex Moore of Woodstock, one great grandson, Timothy Jon Moore of Woodstock, two brothers, Richard L. Martin of West Woodstock, and Sheldon L. Martin of Shatagee Bridgewater, VT, one sister, Phyllis I. Frechette of Wilder, VT, several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of her life will be held Thursday, February 10, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Tall Timbers Recreation Hall in Quechee, VT.
