IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marion E.
Clark
September 25, 1933 – August 30, 2025
Thetford Center, VT- Marion E. Clark, 91, died peacefully on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Hanover Terrace in Hanover, NH.
Marion was born at home in Rochester, VT, on September 25, 1933, to Mason and Julia (Ash) Wilbur. She spent her early years in Pennsylvania before returning to Rochester, and eventually settling on Route 132 in Thetford Center. Marion also spent cherished years in Wisconsin, where she lived near her sister and enjoyed dancing the polka, always up for a good time and a good laugh.
Marion attended Hanover High School and went on to serve her community with dedication and heart. Most notably, she worked at Dan & Whit's in Norwich as a cashier. For a time, she also worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and later as front desk staff in the emergency room, offering comfort and kindness to those in need. She also cooked at Gove Hill Retreat and helped prepare many beloved dinners for Helen Sawyer's restaurant.
Marion was married to the late Roy A. Clark, and together they raised a loving family. She was the kind of mother and grandmother who supported every endeavor: sewing costumes, baking cakes, and turning ordinary days into joyful memories. Her daughter, Debra, fondly remembers riding and singing in the car with her, bringing the grandkids for A&W root beer, and taking them for a spin on the carousel outside Kmart. A fun and spirited soul, Marion was always in tune with the latest top hits and delighted in music, animals, and children.
She is preceded in death by her husband Roy and daughter, Brenda Lee (Clark) White Amadon, as well has her siblings, Paul, Kenneth, and Barbara. She leaves behind her children, Wayne Clark of Thetford Center, and Debra Harlow and her husband, Jim, also of Thetford Center, brother, Stanton Wilbur of West Hartford, and grandchildren, Julie White, Melinda Pritz, Steven White, Matthew Harlow, and Emma Brueckner.
