Wilder, VT- Marion P. Adams, 81, died Friday, September 27, 2019 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH after a brief illness.

Marion was born August 22, 1938 in Saint Albans, VT, a daughter of Clifton and Dorothy (Corliss) Preston. She graduated from the Bellows Free Academy in Saint Albans in 1956. She went on to graduate from the Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital Registered Nurse Program. Marion worked for a time as a nurse at MHMH. She was married to Herbert Adams on May 7, 1960 at the Wilder Congregational Church. They made their home in North Hartland and she stayed home and raised the children and worked as a seamstress. When the children where older she went to work at Browns Leather, Gilberte Interiors and Whole Doughnut. She also had a home seamstress business that she continued after her retirement.   Marion Enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crochet.

She is predeceased by her husband, Herbert Adams; brothers Rodney, Norman, Donald, Justin, Clifton, Jr. and Ellis Preston.

Marion is survived by  a son John H. Adams of North Bend, WA. two daughters Louella K. Adams of Wilder and Janice Adams of Adams, MA; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a step daughter Deborah Ciment of San Antonio, TX,  two brothers Robert of Sutton Mills, NH and John of Sheldon, VT and  a sister Irene Dennis of Tannersville, PA,  and her beloved dog, Bella, and cat, Spot.

A visitation will be held at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction, VT on Thursday October 3, 2019 from 4-6pm. A memorial service will follow immediately at 6pm at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to Marion's family in an online guestbook at www.knightfuneralhomes.com.
